the love that built me
My grandparents were European immigrants who found love at a young age. Fleeing from Hungary as a refugee, my grandfather met my grandmother when she was 12 and shared 51 years of love and marriage together. My other grandmother and grandfather fled to the states from Portugal and the life they built is such an inspiration to me.
My Portuguese and Hungarian roots are important to me because they remind me that I was created by love that was fought for and true. Having these images are sacred to me - my personal reminder of the love that built me and the reason I want to tell stories through photographs.
